Digital:  Monday starts a new project so be ready with your contact sheet to work on the images from Hartman's Creek or from what you have taken on your own if you missed the field trip.  48 images: outdoor nature photography.
4th hr: exposure settings
7th hr: list of 12, 12, 6, 6, 6, 6

Video:  Exporting and compiling info for Project Profanity.
For PP:   Have all your ducks in a row depending on what you are doing for your video.  If you don't know if your ducks are in a row, I can help but we have to verbally communicate with a few words that complete into sentences!

Posters that are finishing up need to be pulled into the N-drive and should be accompanied with the list of citations from the images that were used from online.  There should also be a write-up highlighting the layers of your poster, how it went, and why it interests you.

Video work.  All equipment needs to be moving... in and out of the classroom.  There are too many that need to use equipment for us to not have it here!

Wednesday!

Sorry to Video... I missed the post yesterday.  I want you to visualize this... You are riding in a vehicle, going down the highway and there are lots of things in the car.  Lightweight things, like balloons for example.  You decide you want to open the window you are sitting next to and instantly the suction from that window takes all those lightweight objects and pulls them out!  It is controlled chaos but you can't help watching the trail of balloons leaving the vehicle....  Well, each of those balloons have a task inside of them and the first one that flew out the window was the task to post on field trip day for you.  Sorry, hope this visual makes up for it!

Digital Rockstars.  I want to make sure you know how much I enjoy all of you!  Yesterday was fun and you all were super well-behaved and definitely showed up for the task of taking full advantage of the day outdoors.
Thank You!  Two-Claps for each class!!!  All that fresh air, couldn't help but be a little sleepy on the way home... reminded me that I am going to bring a video camera along next time! :)

May is coming and it scares me because I want more time!

Digital:  Poster work.  Photo Uploading.  Contact Sheet printing and editing with Rubric.  Voting.  TAGS!!!  We will be finishing this week out with making sure all the tags are made, contact sheets are done, and the poster is saved in the N-drive.

Video:  May is coming and I am getting anxious, not because semester is finding it's way to a conclusion but because I want more time with you crazy fruitcakes!  Next week is a big week though so we will be having a small celebration on Wednesday.  (FYI)

And I have something I want to do for a project but want you all to play a roll in it.... most of this will be done in class but I want to run it by you all.. it is an LHS blitz on Bullying but the outline I have for it is pretty cool so after I get my research together I am hoping you all would be on board!!
OUTLINE:
Black haze effect on outer edges of screen.
Spotlight on individuals, center focused.
1. Definition.  Statistics.  Student line with sheets of paper for viewers to read.
2. Transition to stories.  Real stories, students will be kept anonymous.  Being bullied or being a bully.
3. Footage of hallways during passing periods moving through them, walking.
4. At the same time, a tripod set up at the end of the hallway getting footage of student movement during passing period into the emptiness as class starts. This also may be set up for multiple passing periods.
5. Possibility of lunch filming also, edited in the same manner.
6. A STOP/Pause
7. A change of school environment.  Student empowerment, confidence, and commitment to make a change for a better environment for themselves and for their peers.
Student line up with sheets again.  This time students are dressed in apparel: depending on what they are involved in at Lincoln, in the community or just themselves.

Video:  This week will be dedicated to finish editing anything you have and filming for Project Profanity.  If you have any spare time whatsoever... you still have exercise 3 to work on.

The Beginning of May sparks a possible group goal....  for us as a collective group.

Work day for most.

Digital:  Passion Poster should be getting a good amount done on in.  WE will be talking about Hartman's Creek tomorrow and outlining the expectations before the weekend so the amount of time to work tomorrow may be a bit short.

Video:  Work.  Many of you still have videos to export.
Also, Project Profanity Script is due tomorrow.  Put together your outlined list dealing with the sequence of your video.

Recap Rapids:  Team 1 is due today.  Team 2 should be importing footage and getting their information together.  Team 3 is organizing.
** This is a two week working project that involves all of you as a Team.  Each of your groups may have a different way to deliver the information from the week and Lincoln's activities for that week which is great!  You decide.  You organize the information and You make it happen.
There is a folder in the N-drive.  I have inserted the WR logo and a font that would work for the titles/credits.

It is important that you are able to multi-task with everything going on.... At the moment you have to finish your action/comedy/horror video by exporting/LHS Blitz: Project Profanity Script/and possibly Recap Rapids.

It is important that you follow through when you finish a project with getting that into the n-drive saved as a jpg, printed, and handed in with the rubric for your final evaluation.

I hope you all know that the work you put into your videos is so appreciated by many when we are able to get them out for others to see!  Remember that the little bit of extra work with color correction, titles, and credits citing everything means a lot!  Work to get that in!
You guys know I think you ROCK so now I just want you to keep pushing yourself.... there really is NO time to start being lax so if you need a push, let me know!  I give great shoves!

Field Trip Forms Due Tomorrow.
$8 + permission slip.  Remember to include your lab fee if that hasn't been payed.
Hartmans is next week Tuesday.

The start of something new... 

You are going to be given options.

Appreciate options that allow you to choose what interests you most.

It may not always be entirely what you want in the end but given the opportunity to have options with your art media is way better than saying everyone must DO THIS.

Digital:  This is pure creation.  Based on your use of textures, fonts, brushes, and a composition that is defined by your ability to combine multiple pieces into a complete, finished, and well-constructed project.

I want you to know that you can lean on each other to find the answer.

I also want you to know that you, sometimes, need to go out in search for the answer... 

Those are just some things I wanted you to know.

Alright All!
Happy Wednesday and welcome to a big day for all of us:  WORK.

Digital~  I am going to come around and hopefully make it to all of you during class.  You need to be ready to tell me what is going on in your composition and what you are defining about yourself.  It is one thing to make yourself look good... it is another for you to define who you are... and that is what this self portrait is.
IF you finish early.  I would like you to work on a Displacement Exercise: following the tutorial and the photos you have... you will be also able to use online photos for this Extra Credit project also.

VIDEO~  We have a small project to do.  It is simple and it is for the online class I am currently taking.
I would like you all to:  log into your email through google apps and email me + I would also like you all to enroll into the moodle class I have created for Video Arts.  We will do this together, it will be quick and painless.
Then: you WORK.
Friday: we run through some more simple things with Premiere.
AGAIN: COMMENT IF THERE ARE THINGS YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT!

Track release @ 2pm today.  Sorry 7th hour... I will be here for the rest of the week.

Lab fees need to be paid with field trip form.
remember if you don't pay lab fees to me they will be billed to you and you will have to make the time to get them in to the office.... that is way more complex than it needs to be.
So use the KISS method and get those in before the Hartmans Field Trip.

Check Skyward and what you need to be getting in.

Digital: work on self-portraits... what is your composition going to be?  how are colors playing an effect?  are you choosing colors based on what they mean or are you working with black and white for unity?
Remember to work with texture/brushes/fonts that help your composition and what you are defining about yourself.
Opacity and Pasting into are also options.  THERE IS SO MUCH TO UTILIZE!

7th hour:  
Hartman Information to be filled out for permission slip: The example for the information needed on the permission form is taped to the front wall with the stack of slips below.
Money must be handed in with permission slip.

Photos need to be in the H-drive.
If you don't have your photos today, plan on working on your composition... the arrangement on your canvas... do you have a theme?... what kind of look are you going for?

**You are working on your comedy/action/horror.. so start editing the footage you have or if you don't have the footage in today then you need to get the outline going with titles...

*ReCap Rapids reminder today.... it starts next week so Team 1.. this is your week to organize, who does what, where, and ways to get the information you need to fill in the blanks...
***you only need some footage to show, don't overwhelm yourself.. and it isn't always having to do with events.. some should be events, some can also be how great the weather was and frisbeegolfing or the skate-park, Mountain bike riding with the GOpro.. make it fun... the filler is you possibly talking, recapping the weeks events @ LHS and in Wis Rapids... we don't have to hit everything but we do need it to be 'full'.
