Work and Breakdown

We are going to be going over some vocab today.
This is pretty simple... go through the information today and from this information you will be having a test on Monday dealing with the information... of Friday if you prefer.   I am pretty open to either.

THEN..

We are breaking into groups...
getting cameras out / tripods / learning how to work with them / understanding all that good stuff!

Nothing like just jumping in to the goods!

went to the humane society yesterday....

i hung out with the coolest, cross-eyed husky you will ever set your eyes on... today he is getting fostered by a family!  and i don't have an exact picture but it kind of looked like this..

only it was a dog, not a cat... and well... this may have no reference at all...

Mr. Bertagnoli also hung out with Tucker....  If you converse with Mr. B at all, please tell him he should foster Tucker and give him a try..... SOME topics to highlight is the fact that he would be a great running partner, likes to cuddle on the couch, doesn't mind reading about history, and really enjoys being outdoors!!!

ROUND II

Welcome to 2nd Semester.... aka  The WR videoarts

Big few weeks ahead to set us up for the semester:

Work with composition / audio / script writing / editing / and some bells n whistles.
Motivation:
YOU are the one who will be getting these projects together.. and you are the one that will make it happen.
I will definitely do all I can to assist but YOU are the ultimate do'er.

Today... is a nice day to enjoy the snow... AND cupcakes with heart on them!

It has nothing to do with the upcoming Valentines Day.... 

It has everything to do with how much I love our 7th hour!

Grades for the recent activity with the N-drive have been updated.

The rest will be in this afternoon.

Look at what you need to have in the N-Drive.

Please have your H-drive folder open when I come around so we can make sure you are saving to the N-drive the work that allows me to.... use in Bloodstone & THE Art Show in May.

Monday Madness

Raflik and the boys from Rudolph have been working hard and hard at work...
Episode 2 has been released.

Raflik has some great editing skills and his motivation to continue learning how to create great clips with awesome effects is stellar!
It is also pretty nice to have the friends he does, dedicated to the filming they do.

Something neat to look into.... WE have done some of this through photoshop and using texture application and displacement layers.

So this we start the week off:
Editing the images taken for you wiggle animation.
Putting the animation together....
Reminder on how this works....
ALL layers are ready to go, in order, edited and GREAT.
Timeline window at bottom of interface or go to window drop down: Timeline.
Bottom left 3 square icon turns the layers into frames.
Upper right icon allows you to make frames from layers.
NOW: work with timing and choose to loop the animation and adjust the setting to Forever.

Walah!  We will then go about exporting as everyone is done.

Flash exporting is on the Flash tab.

Something fun... and can definitely turn from not only text but also in moving from flat images to 3-dimensional..

What it needs to have:

Variety:  size- sm.md.lg  shape-all kinds

Movement: various directions and speeds

Color scheme: cool; warm; complimentary; primary; secondary; monochromatic

Appeal: Is it interesting to watch?

Minimum of 7 layers.

Can stay in loop feature or can give it an action layer with the action script: stop();

Start a new project with this demo.

We will run through this again and I will outline the steps on the Flash Tab of the blog.

We need to get comfortable with the interface... the layers, the essentials.
